For my 3rd year degree show I have created an installation called ‘THE AWAKENING OF DREAMS’. I have documented the whole installation building and also the paintings that I have chosen to put in the installation. The images are in a chronilogical order showing the building of my space.

Here are the postcards that I had made to accompany the exhibition
The Awakening of Dreams Installation
My work breaches the gap between reality and dreaming. As a result of an operation which left me confused about what was real and what had been a dream, subsequently I started to write a dream diary documenting all of my most vivid memories and dreams. I have taken Fragmented memories from numerous dreams and knitted them together to create my painting scenarios.
“When we are asleep and dreaming, we seem simultaneously to be both present and absent [...] the borders between night and day, dreaming and wakefulness are blurred […] at the same time, dreams pose a challenge to our rational model of the world. In them, the laws of space and time are suspended. The strangeness of our night time visions can fascinate, irritate or frighten us”.

Is this where I call my home, my dreams are where I want to roam, where I leave you to exist between this world and my unconsciousness.
