Week blurb
I wouldnt call myself doolally just a believer in the bizarreness of life. It all began 2 days ago when I thought my wordpress sight was going well, however I later found out that it was not working how I thought it was, I had catagories up in my blogroll or sidebar whateva it may be called . What I thought they were doing was linking you straight through to each of my section posts, this was the case however these catagories were not ment to be doing this as they are also linked to internet web browsers. This was bad news for me as I didn’t have a clue that this was not how i was supposed to use them.
Lets jump forward a day and a night! I kept reminding myself that I had spent atleast 20 hours in total setting up that wordpress how it was and creating albums etc and it just seemed to be getting ontop of me. I couldnt sleep some nights !With a little helper (we) emphasis (not me) managed to get some control back on wordpress after a long evening ! this entailed deleting all my pages and starting from scratch although the posts were still on the homepage. The whole problem was that everytime I logged on the page that first was shown happened to be a brief history of my work. I didnt want this and i wanted a welcome page.
As it stands after the re-jig of pages and the layout of wordpress I started on what i knew i wanted to do. On my homepage I had all my posts still listed all together which did not look that appealing especially when I had already added a stats counter and had 126 views (now 143) yey. So I started a clean up of the posts (homepage)
What I had to do was highlight the writing in each post and copy I then went to the write section of my dashboard and pasted the writing in a new post, I didnt have to do that for heading as I just remembered them manually. I then took the comments option out and also added the post to the page parent which in this case was within my sub heading list, down right-hand side of my page. This then was saved and published into the right section and then I was able to go back into the homepage and delete the relevent post. I did this on all 9 posts that were filling up my homepage, this entailed on a few occasions in copying slideshows to which I had to click on the icon and go to the relevent slide.com site and get a url code and copy/paste it back into post and the code menu next to visual menu. I learnt this and now I dont find this area hard atall.
I then decided to re-arrange my pages so I went into the relevent pages and then went to the bottom menu which was the position of the page and changed the number accordingly. I did this untill I was happy with the order. I have a menu for webdesign as a page but this may come out later and become a post section.
I then decided to get rid of all my catagories by individually going into dashboard and setting them as drafts. I didnt want to risk deleting them fully as last time I did that it deleted the section that appeared in another page.
I also added flickr but at the mo I cant seem to get my own videos up onto it, I need to set up an RSS but will need showing later on ! I have added a link to a website for an example ! when I find more I will add.
The only thing I am not happy about at the moment is the order of my sidebar ! at the mo it is all over the place for example my introduction heading is half way down sidebar when it is supposed to be at the top. etc…..
I will eventually put links to my blogger site which I have been busy updating.
Uploading images on jalbum is my next priority.
I think that is it for now ! although I did have something else to say but forgot ! ah well enough has been said
Oh yeah I set one of my options on one page (about the artist) to private a video of my life I put a password on it so only people on beyond utility can see it

Anyway back to story haha nearly forgot, bring on thursday I arrive at uni and find under my desk a laptop from LRC ARGHHHHH it was a day late ! splash wham dollup £20 fine ! a lesson to all who loan laptops always take them back in time!
And then a mirror by sitting on it by accident (7 years bad luck) and then I broke an even bigger Mirror (14 years bad luck) they werent even mine and I didnt even do it on purpose if I tried ,lol
I guess I am superstitious as I dont walk under ladders or sign posts attated eaith end of pillars etc…. so I deleted the cat and the good luck message as it brought me nothing but bad luck.
